About the Exhibition

“Steeling Away” is a whimsical exploration of metal, heat and hammers.

Dorman uses over five decades of artistic practice to create a distinctive and offbeat world, where walking boats and islands with long legs are filled with fungi figures. Dorman invites you to join his characterful creations of sculpture and jewellery as they ‘steel’ away.

Gallery on Track is located in historic railway barracks on Blackshaw Road. Boasting soaring ceilings and timber floors, this heritage building provides a stunning backdrop for an ever-changing array of high-quality original artworks and unique giftware's by local and regional artists.
